Q: Do I need a motorcycle to take the course?
A: Yes. At this time we do not supply motorcycles.
Q: Do I need a motorcycle permit to take the course?
A: Yes. Every rider will need to be able to furnish a copy of their motorcycle permit or motorcycle license issued by the state.
Q: How do I get a motorcycle permit?
A: Prospective students can go to any DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) and take the written portion of the motorcycle driving test and obtain a motorcycle permit.
Q: Do you have helmets available?
A: Yes. Each student must wear the proper safety gear while on the course and we have a limited number of helmets available. Let your Instructor know in advance so that we may plan to have one on site.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Depending on the severity of the weather the class will either take a break for the passing weather or be reschedule for another time.
Q: What do I need for the classroom portion of my training?
A: You will need to bring a pen, your permit or your license and any unpaid monies due to us.
Q: If I have a full day course, what should I do about lunch?
A: There will be a break for lunch at which time students may either bring their own lunch to eat or leave and come back for the afternoon portion of the class.
Q: If I am under 18 years old, what do I need my parent or legal guardian to sign?
A: Students between the ages of 16 and 18 will need parent/legal guardian written permission to attend the class.
Q: What qualifications do the instructors have?
A: S.M.A.R.T Course has the finest instructors available. Each instructor is certified by the Motorcyle Safety Foundation. Patience , accuracy and skill is our specialty.
Q: If I change my mind can I get my money back?
A: We require a 7 day notice of cancellation. If you have to cancel closer to your course date, we will review this on a case by case basis.
Q: What if I am late or miss a class?
A: If you are late to a class you must make arrangements for the next available class. You will be issued a credit towards this class. All training must be attended in order for you to pass.
Q: What if riding a motorcycle is not for me?
A:Riding a motorcycle is not for everyone. Period. For your safety and the safety of other classmates, S.M.A.R.T Course reserves the right to remove anyone that has become a hazard to themself or others. No refunds will be issued.
